This well-aged beauty is deeply inked dark, thick purple with boysenberry, cocoa husk, and purple heliotrope on the nose. Heavy, jammy fruit and meaty tannins. Light acid fades into a round, soft, fruit concentration.
Durif (also known as Petite Syrah), is not widely planted in the Pacific Northwest. We sourced this limited production release from Roosevelt Ridge Vineyard, a well-managed site along the banks of the Columbia River in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The intensity of the Durif fruit here is well balanced by bright acidity.
