Our annual nod to the great Super Tuscan wines of the old world, and our acknowledgement of the forethought and ingenuity of the Sauer Family of Red Willow. The core is a compilation of Grosso and Piccolo Sangiovese clones traced back to the recommendation of Dr. Clore and his experimental 1973 “college plot.” “Credente” means The Believer in Italian and represents our appreciation and dedication to the risk and commitment Sauer employed in developing the earliest Italian varietals in Washington.

PROFILE: Aromatics of plum and cassis, Bing cherry, candied cinnamon, with a hint of crushed violet. Tart red Rainier cherry, cedar box and sweet vanilla take a journey through old and new world Italian wine. On the finish they meet, as volcanic minerality of the land streaks through Tuscan crushed gravel characteristics. One of the best food wines in our portfolio.

Pair with hard cheese, cured salami, Osso buco, mushroom polenta.

Sangiovese (52%), Merlot (21%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Cabernet Franc (7%). Red Willow Vineyard.
