The thick black skins of Mourvèdre provide an intense dark mahogany core surrounded by auburn, brick and amber hues. The range of flavors, from ripe, candied red fruits, to spicy cinnamon, black pepper and violets give the varietal it’s aromatic appeal. The rich weighted mouthfeel and assertive tannins offered up by the Red Mountain AVA are balanced by the Yakima Valley site with a juicy, quenching acidity and a spicy finish. Anticipate this wine to age well into the 2020’s.
